Sand is a seemingly simple material with a surprisingly diverse range of uses and applications. At Acacia Garden Supplies, we can help you find the right sand for your project.
What is Sand and Why is it Important?
Sand is a loose, granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles. While often overlooked, sand plays a crucial role in creating a healthy and thriving landscape.
Often used in preparation for drainage, sand is porous by nature, allowing water to pass through easily, preventing waterlogging and root rot in your plants. This is especially important for areas with heavy clay soil, which can retain water and suffocate plant roots.
